This little area by our house is always in the shade and there is always a breeze which makes living in Texas somewhat bearable this time of year. We enjoy having our Saturday morning breakfasts out here because it is so pleasant and somewhat private.

Welcome, I’m Libby
Thank you for visiting my blog. I live in Plano, Texas where my husband and I are very involved in being happy senior adults. You will find that my blog reflects our lives and activities as well as the goings-on of our two grown children and ten grandchildren. There may even be something the Lord leads me to compose and share. Needless to say, we stay busy and sharing our busyness with you makes me happy. I do hope you will stop by and share a cup of tea with me often.

I give advice with less takers, also. Enjoy your weekend with your son and DIL.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect setting for Saturday breakfasts. Enjoy your visit with family.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on the front-loaders. We got a Siemens washer/dryer in 2004 and they lasted a long time but then when the washer died, I got a top loader and loved it. Sadly, when we moved to this house I had to have ones that could stack and I am back to front and I don't care for it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time with family this weekend!! I do have a front load washer and I'm ok with it. I do leave the door open between cycles so that it doesn't mildew and every couple of months, I run one of those "clean your washer" tablets through the clean cycle. Regarding the advice - I was listening to a podcast by a pastor who polled 200 or so young adults. The number one thing they wished their parents would NOT do is give advice. Mark and I have figured out that if we give it, they rarely take it :-) so we've been "biting our tongues until they bleed." Hope you have a great week!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy time with your family this weekend! I have a front load and I wipe it down after I finish the day's laundry, otherwise you get an odor. I like the size of mine but I know many folks do not. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo of your son and DIL! Hope it cools down for you. We went back to a top loading washer when we moved. Happy weekend with loved ones to you!
ReplyDeleteThat town does sound lovely. I love the photo of your soon and daughter in law as well. Enjoy your time with them.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have a shaded area with a breeze to sit outside in. LOL on the advice! I agree with you, I like my top loading machine. How exciting that your son and DIL are coming to visit. Enjoy each moment.
ReplyDeleteI would not like a front loading washer. It would hurt my back. Nice picture of your son and daughter in law.
