1. Create an acrostic using the word LOVE. If you're unsure what an acrostic is click here.
Love is to be given
Once given, love can never be taken back
Very blessed are those who love deeply only once
Each day is an opportunity to express love
2. Does love really conquer all? Why or why not?
It is interesting that you should ask this question today because I just read something that contained an excellent answer. This is that quote:
"Can true love conquer all? Absofreakinglutely! The key is you have to learn to let it be, you have to realize everyone won’t do what you think is right, people will disappoint you, they will let you down, they may even hurt you. But, if the love is there and it is real and it is true you really can conquer whatever is put before it. True love always allows you to be who you are, it allows you to love anyone and most importantly love yourself, because love does not judge or falter, love is God and since God dwells within you, and we know God is love, why can’t true love conquer all, it’s HIS love and HE conquers everything."
3. Tell us about a time recently, where you really put your heart into something.
I think it is ringing Handbells. We have a Handbell Choir at our church and we practice every Tuesday. It takes so much concentration and dexterity to ring the right bell at the exact right time with the exact amount of volume, that if one's heart is not in it, one may as well not ring because it affects everyone else. If you aren't familiar with a Handbell Choir, you might want to see this video:

5. Do you generally wear your heart on your sleeve, or keep your cards close to the vest?
Cards close to the vest most of the time.
Asparagus because of the memories associated with it.
7. When were you last 'tickled pink' over something? Explain.
Being with our little nine-year old granddaughter this past weekend. She is one of the funniest kids to be around and such a joy.

I love that colorful Mardi Gras tree...so fun! What a great answer to #2...well said! Duke and Allie's love story...doesn't get much better than that!
ReplyDeleteYour acrostic poem-great advice. I agree with your #2 answer. The Mardi Gras tree-let the fun times begin!!
ReplyDeleteLoved The Notebook, both the movie and the book. Great choice.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I enjoyed your hodgepodge as always and we answered a few pretty similarly as well. How fun the Mardi Gras tree and celebrations would be....nothing like that here. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteDo you read Marla's Musings blog? She usually links in the HP, and is also a bell ringer : ) I don't think I knew you played in a handbell choir. Love that colorful Mardi Gras tree!
ReplyDeleteA fellow ding-a-ling! I started playing at 7, and played for over 30 years. I was so blessed to have the opportunity to tour the world with it. I haven't been part of an active choir for about five years or so since my current church disbanded theirs. I truly miss it,especially the music where I got to play four-in- and six-in-hand, and love it when I can hear my mother's bell choir play on occasion. Such beautiful music, and it's deceptively difficult to do it right.
ReplyDeleteWant to read a funny story about my bell ringing days? We were performing at the Mozart Music Festival as part of a mission trip to Salzburg, Austria. Go to this post and read #5!! http://hokiethoughts.com/2013/06/25/where-have-i-heard-that-song-before/
. . . but we don't have Mardi Gras in Arkansas. I wonder if it can be imported here cause I love the tree. Much love to you, Libby.
ReplyDeleteLove your answer about love conquering all. I love The Notebook too.
