Welcome, I’m Libby
Thank you for visiting my blog. I live in Plano, Texas where my husband and I are very involved in being happy senior adults. You will find that my blog reflects our lives and activities as well as the goings-on of our two grown children and ten grandchildren. There may even be something the Lord leads me to compose and share. Needless to say, we stay busy and sharing our busyness with you makes me happy. I do hope you will stop by and share a cup of tea with me often.

Goodness, wish I had the guts to try out her philosophy of grey hair but doubt that's going to happen and no skin care. My goodness, how much easier our lives would be. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteWell this was certainly very interesting....sometimes I think way more of it then we would like comes down to genes....I've seen women who wrinkled VERY early even though they have always taken very careful care of their skin, and women who don't do much and hardly wrinkle at all. My mom was a perfect example....NEVER....looked her age...people were always amazed at her age. But then she kept her hair modern [I think it takes a super model to be able to pull of long grey hair and look soo good....goodness I'd look a fright! lol] and she watched her weight and kept in shape and dressed SOOO nice. She was beautiful....I on the other hand have few wrinkles [inherited that as I don't do much] color and do my hair regularly, have regular mani's and pedi's, and TRY to dress appropriately, and never leave my house anyway without my make-up on, but sadly that'a where it ends...I am much more interested in comfort, and really just can't be too bothered with fashion and clothes and jewelry and accessories and the like. I am too lazy to exercise much [and hurt too bad truthfully] and do the most I can which isn't too much beyond stretching..I did ALOT before arthritis..but truthfully because I sincerely enjoyed it not because I was thinking I'd benefit from it, lol [does that count? lol] I guess What I am trying to say is I DO care, but not enough I suppose, lol. My weight for sure is bad NOT so much because of how it looks [which is bad!] but because it is soo unhealthy...but its hard because I need to exercise more and some days I am lucky I get around, and my wardrobe could use some serious sprucing up....any minute, lol....but! I did just find a wonderful under eye cream, and a new eye shadow I love, and love love love watching and looking at other women who care about it more then I do. Hopefully they will inspire me! lol Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and great inspirations!
ReplyDeleteThank You, Elizabeth for posting this. I read about her the other day and she sure made me smile. I wish I could be brave like her, what a testimony...like what Debbie said: I do not leave the house without makeup (in breaded, I think, smiles), hair not done, and so on. I do not wear leggings (ewww gross!! not at my age, wink) and so on.
ReplyDeleteAgain, thank you for posting such a inspirational post. It sure made me smile. Have a beautiful Monday.
My husband won't let me go gray. I am curious to see how I would look with my natural gray. Also, I wear makeup when I go out, but around the house only sometimes. My husband is fine with that. He said he loves me no matter how I look, but I still shower every day, dress nice, fix my hair and sometimes wear makeup. It does make you feel better. I worked for 45 years and had to do all those things every day, and so it feels freeing not to "have to"! No leggings here. And I do care about my weight. I feel better at my proper weight.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful lessons for us all! That's how to age in a beautiful way.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful and I like her attitude! I think eating healthy and staying active are very important, and something I need to work on more!
