I read the love letter and tribute of a young wife to her pastor husband after he committed suicide last week. It is such a powerfully beautiful letter to her young life partner and it broke my heart.

But, one thing she wrote in her letter to her Andrew was, "God's Got This!"
Even in her brokenheartedness, she knew where her help came from and she could be certain that she would get through her brokenness because she knows the One who holds all the tomorrows.
Almost 55 years ago I lost someone who was very dear and special to me, not to suicide but to a car accident. I had thought at the time that he would be my life partner. But God had other plans.
In my heartbreak, I called out to God, for where else could the help and comfort, and answers for a brokenhearted 19 year old come from?
"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19)
A year later, God revealed His answer to my need and brought into my life a wonderful, Christian man who was destined from the Beginning to be my lifetime love.
I fully believe in the Sovereignty of an Almighty God and can testify over and over again, that yes, in every way whether good or bad, "God's got this!"
On this day, September 4, 1965, Dick Day became my husband.
I have been so overwhelmingly blessed by God's gift of this man in my life.
He has been my best friend
My lover
My biggest fan
The devoted and faithful husband and spiritual guide God knew I needed
He has been forgiving
He has provided for and sustained our marriage
He is my husband!
Happy Anniversary!
God has had this!
