Snow, Granddaughters, & Super Bowl

Miscellany Monday with Carissa

Snow, Snow and More Snow!!!

Okay, you Northern Gals will just have to indulge this Southern Gal on this one.  I have never in all my UMMM years seen anything like what we are experiencing since arriving in Michiana last Wednesday night.  We have already had more than 5 inches of snow and another 3-6 is expected today.

May I just say, "I. LOVE. IT!"

Rural Scenes
 Subdivision Scenes

Probably the least favorite thing about living in the north - shoveling
But, guess who is lovin' it.
The hill behind the house was perfect for the season's first sledding.
Mom, daughter, and dog enjoying it together
The north's interpretation of the cotton bowl
The scene behind the church yesterday
The sun tried so hard to be seen, and in its effort created a most amazing panorama

Orchestra Competition

Both Granddaughters were part of the area-wide Indiana State Music Association's "competition" for Middle School, this past Saturday.  And, both girl's ensemble's won GOLD!

We are so proud of the hard work these precious girls have put in to accomplish this Gold goal.

 SUPER BOWL

The 47th Super Bowl was played on Sunday in the New Orleans Mercedez-Benz Super Dome.

Fans who bought tickets on the secondary market paid an average of $3,195.14 per seat.

The San Francisco 49ers were favored by 3.5 points over the Baltimore Ravens.  BUT,

YEA, the Ravens won!

The advertising was a huge let-down.

I think the top two should have been the "God Made a Farmer" and the Clydesdale.

I can only hope that the media is watching and listening to the feedback and will come to understand that porn, no matter how "soft" it may be, does not sell with the American viewers.

Thank you Chrysler and Bud for getting it!

  3. I live where it snows and I mostly love it. When I don't love it is April : )

I agree with you on the ads...I haven't heard anyone of any age say they liked or even 'got' the GoDaddy ad. Blech!
